Another lovely Sunday out on the water in the sun. I suggested wakeboarding to some of the chorale people so today matong, yc and sx had their first encounter with it. I hope they at least had some fun even though it was all about falling and getting up and falling and getting up and falling and getting up again. As for me, I’m becoming more and more comfortable with the board and today I tried to move from side to side and even managed to stay up when the boat had to turn around. My next objective is to try and successfully manoeuvre across the wakes.
With everyone taking their turn, there is actually a lot of waiting around in a boat. but I love the whole experience. I love being out on the marina with the sun on my shoulders and face and sitting at the back of the boat with my feet dangling in the water to cool off. Totally chilled out and the perfect way to relax. Of course now my dermatologist will not be pleased at all that I’ve gotten another sunburn.
Anyway it’s another week before we go to Nepal and I”m getting plenty excited. I just took my 55 liter pack out of storage and put most of my clothes in. Suddenly my bag looks so small and I’m afraid I won’t have enough space for everything! I still have to buy quite a bit of stuff once we arrive in Kathmandu — sleeping bag and outer wear being the main priorities. Should I pack an extra pair of walking shoes? I should have gotten a 70 liter backpack.
Lots to do next week…
