Red Rapture

angus’s mum asked him yesterday if i’ve been married before and if i
have kids…. haha indeed. yup that’s it, i’ll be a yummy mummy. I guess it’s a step up
from when she thought i was from the Mainland.

Anyway, December is almost upon us and we’re on the lookout for places
to have various Christmas dinners — with friends, colleagues etc
etc… While at Riciotti last night savoring some delightful gelati,
we were poring through IS and i saw that BROTH (Bar Restaurant On The
Hill) at Duxton Hill will have quite a delectable Xmas menu, complete
with evening entertainment. It said bring 30 friends and it’ll be $100
each, but i’m not sure how much it will be if it’s just two people.

And in other good news, Marmalade Pantry has opened another outlet at
Hitachi Tower!!!! I’ve never been before but have heard lots about it,
and popartgirl was just recommending yesterday that i should try the
date toffee pudding and crab meat linguine… so we’ll definitely be
walking over to Raffles Place quite soon.

I think aside from all the 19 TCC outlets, we have now made it our
mission to try the best fine dining establishments in Singapore… and
the world. ok it sounds silly when i type it out but we actually had
this conversation at dinner, maybe part of it — i added the bit about
TCC. But it’s true, we go so often we can apply for a few discount
cards. Last Thursday he went to the branch at Circular Road alone and
the waiter put down two sets of menus and said ‘Is your companion not
coming?’ or something to that effect. Hurhur, that was funny.

I’m still undecided if i should stay or go away for the new year and
if i want to go away, where would be ideal and won’t break my bank.
But i’ve been procrastinating anyways and leaving it quite late so i’m
sure everything now will be super expensive and booked up so I should
just just stay in Singapore and go to kiathy’s house for turkey
party… or is that Christmas? ideas anyone? topo is on leave then so
maybe i can drag her out or something… or help her spring clean.
